For a 7th year, Lost River Film Fest returns to Hays County from Oct 12-15, 2023 with a robust offering of new, independent cinema – culled from across the planet – with screenings & adjacent events throughout Downtown San Marcos!

 

In celebration of the sesquicentennial anniversary of its theatrical release, our Opening Night will feature a special viewing of THE GETAWAY, the fugitive heist thriller filmed in San Marcos in 1972, followed by a Garden Party.

All submissions to Lost River – via our Film Freeway here – are eligible for selection, at no extra cost, to both Endora Film Fest, held in Lockhart, TX on Nov 5TH, AND Scrambled Genius Film Fest, held in Seguin on November 4TH.

We’ve been thrilled to work with many good people in neighboring Caldwell & Guadalupe counties to create one-day expositions that essentially constitute a ‘Best of the Fest’ from Lost River – but hosted in gorgeous, downtown theaters, built in 1921 & 1938, respectively!
